COA Accreditation

fseap is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).

We understand that telling you about or best practices is not enough - for your business or for ours. It is for this reason that we put our organization and our services up to independent scrutiny through the COA Accreditation Process.

COA is an international, independent, not-for-profit organization that has been accrediting public and private human service organizations since 1977. COA has specific standards for Canadian EAP providers.

EASNA – EAP’s Professional Association

fseap is a member of EASNA. EASNA is an association for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) professionals and organizations. EASNA associates specialize in workplace and family wellness, employee benefits, and organizational development. EASNA provides forums for EAP providers to learn and grow. EASNA also establishes standards of practice and guidelines for purchasers of EAP services.

COA Accreditation and EASNA’s Code of Ethics monitor the following areas of practice:

• Competence
• Misrepresentation
• Public statements
• Client’s informed consent
• Relation with the client
• Confidentiality and anonymity
• Client Records
• Withdrawal of services
• Referrals
• Relationships with other practitioners and professionals
• Business practices including pricing/billing, reporting, marketing/sales
• Ethical practices and procedures for complaint resolution
